Rodem Church is a community where those discouraged by the heavy burdens of life find rest and strength from God, rise again with renewed vigor, and joyfully follow the path of God.
God is calling all of us to become part of Rodem.
“Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat.’”
Welcome to the Rodem Church website!
We are truly delighted that you have visited us.
Are you perhaps asking yourself these questions?
“Is Rodem Church a good church? Or is it the best church?”
Here is how we would like to answer:
Rodem Church is striving to be the right church, the kind of church that our times truly need.
RODEM
CHURCH
Rodem Church is a community of faith that upholds God’s Word, standing as Noah’s Ark in an age where the dam has broken and the flood has come—restoring the church’s identity and purpose to fulfill the will of the Lord.
Evangelism
Proclaiming the gospel of forgiveness to the ends of the earth is the Great Commission of our Lord (Matthew 28:20). To fulfill this sacred calling, we devote ourselves to both domestic and international missions, with particular emphasis on mission partnerships through Ohana, the matching of missionaries with mission fields, and outreach activities through mission teams. In addition, Rodem Church belongs to the Global Methodist Church, and together with churches within this denomination across the United States and around the world, we are united in establishing mission centers and carrying out evangelistic ministry.
Worship
Rodem Church is founded upon the grace shown to Elijah, who, in his spiritual weariness, found rest and restoration under the broom tree through the angel of the Lord (1 Kings 19:5–8). Empowered by God’s comfort and saving grace, our mission and identity are to fulfill the final calling, moving from worship within the sanctuary to a life of worship in all that we do.
Education & Discipline
Jesus said to Peter three times, “Feed my sheep” (John 21:15–17). In the same way, nurturing believers can never be overemphasized. Rodem Church is committed to the lifelong spiritual growth and maturity of each soul, not through temporary or short-term discipleship, but through continual formation over a lifetime. This begins with the foundation of first nourishing oneself with the spiritual food of God’s Word and prayer before feeding others.
Service
The early church community did not neglect caring for one another and sharing fellowship in the Lord (Acts 2:46–47). Above all, Rodem Church is called to tenderly care for those who have been wounded and are in need of healing, sharing the love and compassion of Jesus by meeting not only spiritual needs but also physical ones through mutual support and care.
Military Ministry
Rodem Church’s military ministry fulfills its calling to serve God, people, and the nation through the vocation of active-duty soldiers. Centered on military personnel gathered in Hawaii and deployed around the world, this ministry builds community, fosters fellowship, and supports military families as they transition to new environments. Formed within the unique context of military life, this ministry serves as a vital channel for missions, keeping us connected as one community wherever we are called to serve.
